Educ Actors
Educ Actors is a non-profit organization which aims to promote education, and remove the barriers of access to knowledge and academic success by providing financial, material, and logistical support to learners and training centers in disadvantaged communities.
We are on a mission to empower people through education, and make knowledge accessible were poverty and politics have clouded creativity and all hopes for a better future.
Knowledge is power, the power to truly live one’s life to the fullest. And anyone willing to walk the path should be offered all the tools and resources to do so.
No one should be forced out of school for lack of resources, no one should settle for less simply for being born in the wrong neighborhood.
Our Story
Why Educ Actors
Martin was a brilliant student, the best of his class. But when he became an orphan, unable to pay his tuition, he was forced out of school.
Emile and Nicolas, every other day used to skip classes in order to get to the market place, the former hauling a grinding machine, the later fixing shoes, to survive, and be able to pay their school tuition.
Her parents were poor and could not help much, but Clarisse has fought hard to move forward and strive in school. She has passed all her classes and exam for her Bachelor degree, but she is unable to attend her unpaid internship (housing and travel), and complete her degree.
These real stories are sadly too common, and certainly not the worst.
In a world of globalization, what chances do these students have, when there are more libraries (most of which are more equipped than the best on the other side) in Los Angeles than in the entire Benin country?
That is what we have started Educ Actors for, to provide support, know-how, equipment, events and financial support, so that nobody is left behind.
Where We Are Now
